If you have picked up
The Herald or
The Daily Record today, you will have see our "
Welcome to the family" banner. The reason we love this tag line so much is because everything in Phoenix, has that family feeling about it.
So what does that have to do with these cars? Well, every car in this particular advertisement, was sold new at Phoenix, traded in at Phoenix, and looked after by our manufacturer trained technicians, in preparation for the next Phoenix customer. So we hope there's a particular one that interests you, that you can test our intimate knowledge on, before taking it for a spin.

Hi Everyone, Russell here...
I've known craig since his european tour days, watch in excitement when a local boy was leading the way in the open at Turnberry in '94, and heard him recount stories of 80 professional event wins, he also likes a good night out, so that makes him a great guy in our books.
Craig doesn't travel quite as much as when he was a younger player… however he still loves his cars, so who better to give us some feedback on the new Kia Optima… Over to craig…This week I travelled to play in the optical express event at Tain and Brora, in gorgeous scottish highlands.
I was very happy when the guys at
Phoenix Kia hooked me up with a trial of the new
Kia Optima to take up, I normally drive a 5 series BMW GT which I love and great for long journeys, so what did I think of the optima, well the best description of a car in its class was EPIC, for a golfer it has a dream boot, its actually massive!!
The driving position and comfort was fantastic and the cockpit is very pleasing on the eye, but the 50 + miles to the gallon is again a golfers dream, Kia have certainly announced them on the car scene in a big way, why not pop in to the
Phoenix Kia and take a test drive, you won't be disappointed.
Would I have one ? Definitely !!!
As for the golf it was a bit of a mixed bag finishing 20th where the putter was as cold as the north wind, but there's a long season ahead and many miles to be done, hopefully I will get to test a few more cars on the tour with
Phoenix. Many thanks to Russell Smith for lending me the car.
Yours in Golf
Craig Ronald

Another hectic week flies by…
In a week that heralded some great news from SMMT on new car sales for the month of April, a 14.3% increase on last April for private buyers! That’s why it’s been so busy recently, its worth checking out all our new car offers at www.phoenixcar.co.uk before we run out with that sort of demand!
The week has been a blur of activity, none more than when I had to, note just had to, take a yellow Porsche 911 Carrera 4 targa across country to our Edinburgh branch. It just shows that at
Phoenix Motown we have everything from Fiat Pandas to exotic supercars. Now if anyone has a spare £40k to invest, this comes highly recommended, fun at less than half the price it was when new!

Dropped this off and picked up a new
Hyundai Veloster demonstrator to go back west. First long drive in one of these, a great combination of economy and head turning looks. We have discovered since its launch late last year that the Veloster attracts customers who have driven many quality cars previously such as BMW coupes, VW Sciroccos and many more. So many gadgets, I need to take one home to see if the Xbox really works in it!!

Delighted to be advised by
Motor Trader Magazine that
Phoenix has been short listed for Best Training Program in the Industry. Stiff competition from across UK I’m sure, but watching our bright young graduates in action I see no reason why we shouldn’t be reasonably confident of a great result.
Great meeting on Friday with David Hart and Elaine from
Kia. I was keen that David was aware of all things
Phoenix and he kindly sat through a quick (?!?!) presentation on our roots, values and goals! David thrilled Kate our Marketing Director and myself with some innovative plans from
Kia’s marketing department.

At the end of a hectic week, I decided the garden was needing attention. Roll out the
Honda ride-on-mower. What an investment a couple of years ago. Almost makes this task fun. Our team at Lawn & Garden are pretty busy at this time of year, really should take it in for a service…
Anyone remember the scene from Forrest Gump where he rides his mower everywhere?
